Compare text

Paste the old text and the new one. Deletions are struck through. Insertions are marked. This is a reading aid, not Git history.

The result shows up here.

How it works

Word mode aligns the two texts on the longest common pieces and marks the rest as removed or added. Spaces are tokens. Past 800 tokens on a side, the page switches to line mode so the tab stays responsive.

Read it in three passes: what left, what arrived, and whether the sentence that remains still says what you meant. A diff does not know intent. A deleted “not” is easy to miss if you only read the new text.

Questions

Why does reordering look messy?

The alignment prefers the longest shared piece. Moved sentences often show up as a deletion plus an insertion, not as a move.

Does this replace Git?

No. There is no commit, author or file context. It is for two pastes.

Is the text uploaded?

No.
